MimiSDK 9 Migration Guide
MimiSDK 9 introduces the support of storing data on Chinese infrastructure due to PIPL requirements. Depending on the geo-location the user’s data (hearing assessment, profile data) will dynamically be stored on Chinese Server Infrastructure or on European Server Infrastructure.
This document outlines the various changes required to migrate to MimiSDK 9 from a previous version of MimiSDK.
Changes
The following section describes all changes.
PTT test type to PTT 6oct
This release shortens the PTT (pure tone thresholds) test by approximately 30 seconds per ear.
Dynamic Region-Based User Data Storage Support
- MimiSDK 9 introduces automatic support for region-based storage of user Mimi data.
- By default, there is no change for users or where their data is stored.
- When using or upgrading to MSDK 9.0.0, no data migration is automatically performed.
- Only after individual agreement and in co-ordination with a partner, will their users’ Mimi data be stored in the appropriate regulatory region for each user.
- At the time of writing this includes:
- Rest of World (RoW)
- China
Requirements
There are no required migrations for MSDK 9.0.0.
